Roderic Yapp is a specialist leadership consultant, and an executive leadership coach who helps create high performing organisations. A former Royal Marines Officer, he was fortunate enough to lead Marines on operations around the world. Highlights include serving in Afghanistan in 2007, evacuating civilians from Libya during the Arab Spring and leading the recapture of the 55,000-ton MV Montecristo from pirate control in 2011.
He left the Royal Marines to join Urenco in 2012. The Urenco Group are an international supplier of uranium enrichment and nuclear fuel services; in 2013 the company generated €1,515m with an EBITDA of €968m.
Roderic was responsible for assessing the level of leadership capability within the organisation. He assessed the current performance of leaders, developed a gap plan for improvement and then coached them to change their behaviour. This resulted in a significant and measurable impact on the performance of the business.
Roderic is an International Coaching Federation professionally accredited coach who has specialist experience in developing people in sectors where ‘leadership failure’ usually results in death or critical injury.
He has significant experience in leadership development, major business transformations and operational excellence with companies such as Deloitte, Fidelity, the John Lewis Group, Jaguar Land Rover and the NHS.
In 2015, he founded Leadership Forces. We develop business leaders as they transition from entrepreneur to CEO and work with larger organisations to save them time by improving leadership capability.
